The MD-CD1MKIII Combination CD Player and MiniDisc Recorder from Tascam provides versatile recording and playback options, ideal for contractors, broadcasting, and other installations that require MiniDisc compatibility. The 2RU rackmount chassis has 2 separate sections, each with its own transport controls.
The CD section can play standard CDs, as well as MP3 and WAV file CDs, and CD-TEXT discs. The MiniDisc will play or record in SP, Mono, LP2, and LP4. You can even dub a CD to a MiniDisc at 4x speed. A continuous playback function will cycle from one section to the other for seamless long-term audio playback. Each section offers Auto Cue and Auto Ready functions for quick operation.
Each section has unbalanced stereo RCA outputs, plus optical and coaxial S/PDIF digital outputs, letting you connect to a variety of mixers, speaker systems, and more. The MiniDisc section has RCA, optical, and coaxial inputs as well for additional versatility. A front-panel headphone jack provides a convenient solution for monitoring. The unit offers PS/2 and RS-232C ports for wired control, and it also comes with a wireless remote for added convenience.
